Located on the main level of Ottawa City Hall at 110 Laurier Avenue West, both the City Hall Art Gallery and Karsh-Masson Gallery are open daily from 9 am to 5 pm (excluding holidays) and are fully wheelchair accessible. Admission is free.
The galleries host a variety of exhibitions showcasing the work of professional artists across all media, including solo and group shows, curated exhibitions, diplomatic presentations, and travelling exhibitions from other institutions. Together, the two galleries present approximately eight exhibitions annually, each lasting around eleven weeks. Programming also includes artist talks, guided tours, and an annual exhibition featuring works from the City of Ottawa Art Collection. Every two years, Karsh-Masson Gallery presents an exhibition related to the Karsh Award, with the next one scheduled for 2026.
As a public space, the gallery fosters the exploration of diverse ideas through art. The City of Ottawa’s exhibitions feature works that resonate with the community, reflect our identity, and engage with contemporary artistic practices. These exhibitions invite public reflection and interpretation, offering insight into both our past and present.
