Migration Stories

Six artists present their “stories” of migration, reflecting the vast instinctual or altered journeys of animals and plants, and forced human expulsion or immigration to places of hope and opportunity. The intertwining of these diverse migration stories reveals the growing complexity and urgency of species in motion.

The Migration artists are members of the Ottawa-Gatineau Printmakers Connective. Drawn together by the theme in 2023, they have been exploring the political, economic, and ecological aspects of migration through the creation of 2- and 3-dimensional print-based art in a variety of printmaking techniques and materials.
