On April 4 and 5th\, the 22nd year of this tour returns with exceptional artists and artisans in 7 fascinating tour stops in and around the beautiful village of Pakenham. Experience a huge variety of carefully curated creative expressions\, including painting\, pottery\, pewter\, glass\, jewellery\, photography\, weaving\, soap-making\, blacksmithing\, paper arts\, woodworking\, artisanal food\, and so much more. New artists join the Tour each year! Take a drive of discovery along the Tour route\, where you can take in spectacular spring scenery en route to experiencing the Tour’s unique locations: heritage buildings\, a craft brewery\, a cidery\, a one-room schoolhouse\, and a sugar bush. New this year\, a new stop at the Cedarhill Tree Farm has been added.

The self-guided walk ends with a Spot Talks & Curator Conversations at the at the Ottawa Art Gallery\, a visit to the exhibition Endless Becomings: Explorations in Contemporary Art\, plus the chance to connect directly with OAG curators. \n\n\n\n\nConversation with Tania Willard \n\n\n\n\n2:00–2:45 p.m. (NGC Amphitheatre) \n\n\n\n\n\n\nSelf-guided Walk \n\n\n\n\n2:45–4:00 p.m. (ByWard Market) \n\n\n\n\n\n\nSpot Talks & Curator Conversations \n\n\n\n\n4:00–6:00 p.m. (Ottawa Art Gallery) \n\n\n\n\nTicketing: All proceeds will be donated to the Lowertown Community Resource Centre. \nIn English\, followed by a bilingual question period. \nAmerican Sign Language (ASL) interpretation is available for the 2:00 – 2:45 p.m. conversation portion of the program\, when requested a minimum of 10 business days in advance of the event. DESCRIPTION:NEST: New Edinburgh Studio Tour. The self-guided tour will takes place annually on the fourth weekend in September. Approximately 10 – 12 studios located within New Edinburgh\, Ottawa\, will be opening their studio doors to the public. NEST features resident and guest artists\, crafting works in ceramics\, glass\, painting\, textiles\, photography and more. Locations of the studios will be scattered throughout New Edinburgh and are within walking or biking distance. \nNEST offers the public a unique opportunity to encounter professional and emerging local artists in the studios where they work. The aim of the tour is to: \n\n\nhelp build a vibrant arts community in New Edinburgh by connecting participating artists \n\n\nengage with the public through a unique behind the scenes look into the artists’ studio space and creative processes \n\n\nsupport participating artists by creating an opportunity to personally discuss and promote their work while selling directly to the public. \n\n\nAdmission to the studio tour is free and everyone is welcome. Artwork will be exhibited and available for sale\, and live demonstrations will occur throughout the day. \nBy visiting each studio you will have the opportunity to win a door prize from each artist on the tour.
