Luminita Serbanescu

Acrylic Artist

Luminita tells stories of human character, mighty nature, the dangers facing the environment and wildlife, the impact of climate change, and, above all, hope.

Luminita was born in Transylvania and has been involved in art from an early age. A life-changing relocation to Canada followed, along with a degree in architecture, in pursuit of freedom. While raising a son and working to build a successful small business, she continues to dedicate time to her artistic practice.

Her hard work and constant drive to improve have been rewarded through solo exhibitions in galleries, restaurants, cafés, and community centres. Participation in numerous group exhibitions has also grown through her membership in respected galleries and art associations, including Foyer Gallery, Koyman Galleries, West Carleton Art Society, Ottawa School of Art, Nepean Fine Arts, Glebe Fine Arts Association, and Art Lending of Ottawa.

She has created illustrations for poetry books published in Canada, Australia, and Romania, and her work is held by collectors across Europe, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, enriching her experience and bringing her great satisfaction.

Luminita’s art speaks to human character, the power of nature, the threats to the environment and wildlife, and climate change—always guided by a sense of hope.
