Art in the Neighbourhood began in June 2016 with seven artists eager to showcase their work. The first show was held in a garden venue in Elmvale Acres, Ottawa. The concept quickly grew, attracting artists who shared our vision of a small, accessible, and intimate event with free parking and no entrance fee. While they have grown slightly, the group remains committed to keeping the show intimate—”The little show with BIG talent!” Each event brings new faces and returning artists, all contributing unique and beautiful creations.
Art in the Neighbourhood conducts major art shows: one is in spring in the Canterbury Community Center and the other one in fall, at the Emmanuel United Church on Smyth Road.
